Mirapoint Certified Directory Engineer (MCDE) Overview
Course Description
This course will familiarize the student with the LDAP protocol and various
operational aspects of Mirapoint's Directory Server. Specifically, the
student will learn how to setup, configure, populate and troubleshoot
Mirapoint's directory server.
The course is designed to:
- Introduce the LDAP protocol.
- Describe how the Directory Server works.
- Introduce advanced topics such as Replication, ACLs
and Indexing.
Course Goals
After completing this course, the student will be able to administer Mirapoint's
Directory Server product. These skills allow the student to take/escalate
direct customer calls and obtain privileged information
Student Profile and Prerequisites
The student should have a general knowledge of LDAP, UNIX and e-mail. Although
not a prerequisite, hands on experience with LDAP, UNIX and e-mail is recommended. MCDE
