Jae Roh to Speak on Current Mobile Security Issues and the Importance of Implementing End-User Security Training

SUNNYVALE, Calif. – June 4, 2007 – Mirapoint, the secure messaging expert, today announced that Jae Roh, product manager at Mirapoint, will be speaking on, “Secure Mobility and Threats in 2007 – The Year of Living Dangerously?” as part of the Information Security from A-Z Track at Vanguard Enterprise Security Solutions™ & RACF® Users Training. The conference is being held at the Adam's Mark Hotel in St. Louis, June 10-14, 2007.

More and more people are accessing their corporate networks and data via mobile devices.  With mobile email experiencing tremendous growth, pressure is mounting on IT security to control threats delivered via mobile devices and to manage mobile devices. Organizations need to provide mobile virus protection and managing mobile usage and policies. This session looks at best practices in mobile security including “over the air” virus protection, establishing deployment and usage policies to manage mobile users, and implementing end-user security training.  The session will also discuss common mobile security issues that arise, such as lost devices containing confidential information and how hackers target mobile devices.
