SPACE4RENT OFFERS ADVANCED E-MAIL AND WIRELESS MESSAGING SERVICES THROUGH STRATEGIC RELATIONSHIP WITH MIRAPOINT
Alliance Allows Customers To Instantly Access Electronic Messages From Mobile Phones, PDAs Or Other Handheld Devices

CARLSBAD, Calif., Dec. 19, 2000 – Space4rent (S4R) today announced the company has established a strategic technology agreement with Mirapoint Inc., a leading provider of Internet messaging infrastructure products. The agreement enables S4R to offer its e-business customers a suite of highly reliable, secure and scalable e-mail and wireless messaging services.

S4R’s Advanced Messaging solution is designed to meet customer requirements for traditional as well as wireless Internet communications services. S4R, a “netsourcing” solution provider, offers dedicated hosting and managed IT services, with high levels of reliability, scalability and security for a cost-effective monthly fee.
S4R’s Advanced Messaging solution is based on Mirapoint’s Internet Message Server. The solution also uses WAPmail Direct and Webmail Direct, Mirapoint’s built-in Wireless Access Protocol (WAP) and Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) message access engines. These messaging technologies eliminate the need for protocol translation from Post Office Protocol (POP) or Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP). Messages can be directly accessed on any WAP or Web-enabled device and the service includes unlimited messaging, automatic virus scanning and cleaning, spam filtering, Web-based customer administration and 24/7 on-site service and support.

Optionally, S4R’s Advanced Messaging solution enables users to add a wireless messaging capability to standard e-mail accounts without the need to establish separate wireless accounts. A common mail account for both traditional and wireless e-mail applications reduces software and hardware costs for these increasingly popular business communications services. In addition, S4R’s wireless messaging includes powerful administration tools that can assign priorities to messages based on specific user-defined criteria, send e-mail receipt message alerts and allow time-saving preferential sorting and viewing of messages.
