MIRAPOINT HIRES INDUSTRY VETERAN AS SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF WORLDWIDE FIELD OPERATIONS

SUNNYVALE, Calif., Nov. 10, 2004 — Mirapoint, a proven leader in email server and security appliances, today announced that Christophe Culine has joined the company as senior vice president of worldwide field operations. Culine, who was most recently vice president of sales for Fortinet, will be responsible for driving and expanding Mirapoint sales teams worldwide in order to meet the growing demand for the company’s secure, reliable, and scalable email and security solutions. Culine will also oversee the growth and further development of Mirapoint’s channel programs and professional services organization.

Culine has more than 14 years of experience in global sales and business development for the security sector. Prior to Fortinet, Culine held positions as executive vice president of sales and strategic alliances at Vigilante, an independent provider of IT vulnerability assessment solutions, and vice president of sales and business development for Qualys, a leading Internet security service provider. Culine also spent four years as vice president of worldwide sales and president of operations for Europe and the Americas for GRIC Communications, which went public on NASDAQ in December 1999.
