Increased Subscriber Base Prompts Leading ISP to Expand Capabilities with High Powered E-mail Server REDNET Selects Mirapoint IP-Messaging Server
Mirapoint, Inc., a pioneering developer of standards-based IP messaging solutions, announces that REDNET, consistently voted the number one UK ISP by Internet Magazine, has selected two of Mirapoint's award-winning M1000 IP messaging servers to continue to provide high-quality e-mail services to its customers.
REDNET aims to provide the highest quality Internet and networking solutions within the UK. The ISP offers customised solutions for every business environment, ranging from local and wide area networks and remote access solutions through to an extensive range of Internet Solutions, including ISDN and Leased Line access, web design, hosting and e-commerce. REDNET recognised the need to upgrade its current e-mail system with a highly reliable and secure interface to incorporate the growing number of users and install a viable solution for future growth.

REDNET researched several e-mail shareware products, but Mirapoint clinched the deal, with its 24 hour commercial support program. The other products were appropriate for ISPs, but as a business focused ISP, if the service goes down, we are not meeting our requirements to our customers. Mirapoint offers round-the-clock support and will proactively notify us if there is a problem that we have not already noted. We effectively have an extra set of eyes monitoring the system. The server also decreases everyday administrative tasks, which is extremely important as our customer base continues to grow. Overall, Mirapoint offers a much better service than any home grown service," concluded Rizvi.
The M1000 is specifically designed to accommodate the heavy e-mail traffic experienced by ISPs and enterprises. The M1000 is an IP messaging appliance that features Internet protocols-based messaging software supporting both POP3 and IMAP4. The system provides highly reliable Internet e-mail infrastructure services, including inbound and outbound e-mail traffic, e-mail delivery, RAID-protected storage, e-mail client access functions and supporting up to 150,000 POP users on a single system.
