Hong Kong Polytechnic University chooses Mirapoint for Campus-wide Messaging
Mirapoint System will Serve More than 25,000 Users

SUNNYVALE, Calif., Sept. 5, 2002 - The Hong Kong Polytechnic University has chosen Mirapoint, a leader in Internet messaging systems, to enhance its email infrastructure that serves more than 25,000 students, staff and faculty members. Mirapoint's Message Director will act as the foundation for developing a highly-optimized Internet messaging infrastructure that is predictable in operation, reliable and easy to maintain. "All students, staff and faculty members require quick and reliable access to computing and email resources for administration, research, teaching and learning. With so many users and a growing volume of email, we upgraded our existing messaging systems to provide better virus protection, which is becoming critical to the University."

According to Leung, because managing and maintaining a messaging system is a complex and costly business, they looked for an easily manageable and cost-effective approach to enhance their messaging infrastructure. "Mirapoint's solution allows staff and students to send and receive messages with anti-virus protection and works on a cross-platform basis, offering ease of deployment," Leung said.
