MIRAPOINT CLOSES STRONGEST Q1 IN COMPANY HISTORY
Six consecutive record revenue quarters; company now serves and secures more than 100 million mailboxes for customers worldwide
SUNNYVALE, CA., June 8, 2005 – Mirapoint,
the secure messaging experts, today announced that it has closed its strongest
quarter ever and hit an installed base milestone of more than 100 million mailboxes
served and secured. Other financial milestones include eight consecutive quarters
of sequential growth, Q1 gross margin hitting a historical high and the company
experiencing 40 percent annual growth in 2004.
Strong Customer Growth
Driving this growth, customers such as World Bank, BT, Fujitsu Services, Ford Motor Co., University of Chicago and RSA Security have selected Mirapoint for its comprehensive approach to messaging delivery and security. Mirapoint's Message Server and RazorGate appliances enable organizations to build message networks that intelligently and securely route, store, access and manage email.

New HP Channel Partnership
In May, RazorGate 100 email security appliance based on HP's ProLiant DL140 servers became available directly through HP, its authorized resellers and Mirapoint. Also in May, InfoWorld Magazine gave the RazorGate 100 its highest recognition available – an "Excellent" rating and 9.2 leadership score. InfoWorld commented on Mirapoint's 97 percent spam catch rate, its unique ability to reject a large portion of spam without even having to filter it and the strong reporting and management tools.

- MailHurdle appliance provides a first line of defense at the SMTP–layer to block and drop unwanted connections at the network edge.
- Junk Mail Manager works with any existing email server, including Microsoft Exchange, to provide uniquely flexible end–user controls for managing false–positives by keeping spam out of users' inboxes and quarantining unwanted traffic at the network edge.
- Rapid Anti–Virus technology adds an additional layer of real–time protection. By using information collected on a global basis from network probes to address emerging threats, Rapid Anti–Virus helps customers identify viruses in minutes from ground zero of an outbreak.
