Mirapoint Names Seasoned Veteran As New Chief Marketing Officer
Leading Appliance Provider Adds Technology All-Star to Management Dream Team
 SUNNYVALE,
CA., May 03, 2005 — Mirapoint®, a proven leader in email server
and security appliances, today announced that Bethany Mayer has joined the company
as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Mayer brings extensive marketing and product
management experience from her leadership positions in some of the industries
most prominent technology companies, including Vernier Networks, Cisco Systems
and Apple Computer. Mayer will be responsible for driving Mirapoint’s overall
product strategy and product management activities, as well as global communications
and messaging initiatives through innovative product launches, efficient team
management and overall leadership of the company’s external positioning.

brings more than 20 years experience in marketing, product management, P&L

Networks, SkyStream Networks, Cisco Systems, Apple Computer and Lockheed
Martin. Her position as Vice President of Marketing for both Vernier Networks
and SkyStream Networks has solidified her abilities to effectively lead
marketing direction and develop sustainable executable product roadmaps.
Mayer’s tenacious, results-oriented approach to messaging, forecasting
and product marketing has garnered unmistakable results and established
her as an industry leader.
