Mirapoint Achieves Profitability As Demand Rises For Message Networks
Mirapoint Signs 600th Customer; Experiences Double-Digit Quarterly Revenue Growth For Past Four Quarters

SUNNYVALE, Calif., March 17, 2003 -- Mirapoint, a leader in solutions for message networks, today announced several major milestones that attest to widespread customer acceptance of Mirapoint solutions by service provider, enterprise, education and government customers. Customers use Mirapoint solutions to build message networks that intelligently route, store, access and manage Internet messages, including email. The major achievements by Mirapoint over the last quarter include:

  • 600th customer signed: With the addition of Illinois Tool Works Inc. (NYSE: ITW), RCN (Nasdaq: RCNC), Sonic Drive-In (Nasdaq: SONC), Ford (NYSE: F), One.Tel, James Madison University and Temple University, Mirapoint reached the 600th customer milestone. Companies across multiple industry segments have adopted Mirapoint's products as a means to dramatically simplify management, protect against spam, virus and hacker attacks, and provide enhanced messaging capabilities for desktop PC, web and wireless clients.
  • Profitability: Mirapoint reached profitability in the fourth quarter of 2002, on the heels of double-digit quarterly revenue growth for the past four quarters. Furthermore, the company has experienced consistent year-over-year revenue growth since its inception. During a time when other technology companies have struggled to maintain business viability, Mirapoint has continued its successful expansion while meeting - and exceeding - sales and market share goals.
