One.Tel Upgrades E-mail Platform With Mirapoint
Mirapoint, the messaging infrastructure specialist, has announced
that One.Tel has successfully completed the upgrade of its e-mail
platform. Mirapoint's technology was chosen to enable the delivery
of advanced e-mail services to its customer base. This enhanced
platform has significantly increased One.Tel's mailbox capacity
and is easily upgradable to accommodate the ongoing expansion of
its narrowband and broadband customer base.
One.Tel has deployed Mirapoint's Message Servers and Message Directors
to increase the overall capacity and performance of its existing
messaging platform. It will also enable One.Tel to reduce costs
by consolidating its e-mail services onto fewer systems and reducing
the amount of data centre space required. The enhanced e-mail platform
will allow One.Tel to launch new e-mail services and support its
growing broadband customer base.

online services to both existing and future UK customers,"

in another Message Server."

One.Tel implemented Mirapoint's Message Director MD400 and Message
Server M4000 dedicated messaging systems. The Message Server M4000

storage and access. The Message Director MD400 works with any internet
messaging environment to provide scalable routing services. It can
support millions of e-mail messages daily and provide protection
from e-mail borne viruses and spam.
