Mirapoint Announces New Channel Strategy for EMEA Region
Messaging expert to drive 70% of EMEA sales through the channel
Mirapoint, a leading provider of messaging solutions, has launched
a new Channel Partner Programme aimed at increasing indirect sales
of its dedicated messaging product range in the enterprise, local
government, education and financial markets. The new programme targets
security focused resellers looking to expand into secure e-mail
and messaging specialists who will sell the whole range of Mirapoint
solutions. Through the programme Jamie Cowper, Mirapoint's newly
appointed head of channel for EMEA, aims to increase indirect sales
from 50% to 70% percent.
"Given that security risks associated with the uptake of e-mail
have grown at such an alarming rate, there is a real demand for
reliable and scalable security solutions that easily integrate into
existing messaging infrastructure," says Jamie Cowper, channel
manager EMEA at Mirapoint. "By increasing the number of key
partner relationships in a controlled way, we aim to meet this need
while minimising channel conflict."
Channel Partners will be offered online sales and technical training,
sales training road shows, technical training courses and accreditation
through Mirapoint's Certified Engineer Programme. In addition to
free sales training, Mirapoint will provide joint marketing development
funds, opportunities for joint selling, performance-based rebates
and a partner hotline for further support.

In addition, Mirapoint offers favourable margins that are higher
than average in the reseller market."
Mirapoint is looking to increase channel sales of its Message Director
MD400 and Message Server M4000. The MD400 works with any internet
messaging environment to provide scalable routing services. It can
support millions of e-mail messages daily and provide protection
from e-mail borne viruses and spam. The M4000 provides an end-to-end
infrastructure for secure and reliable message storage and access.
The Directory Server simplifies the creation, use and integration
of LDAP directories as a common user information database for all
messaging-based applications.
