Jeff Witous

Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Witous joined the company in November, 2007, following the recapitalization of Mirapoint by HighBAR Ventures, Keynote Ventures, and W Capital.

In 1999, Jeff co-founded Ameritege Technology Partners, a private equity firm, focused on investments in enterprise technology companies. As General Partner there, he completed more than a dozen successful investments and acquisitions in both start-up and late stage enterprise technology companies. As a hands-on investor, Jeff has taken operational responsibility as CEO for two portfolio companies and co-founded three others. The Ameritege portfolio has experienced a number of strategic exits and today maintains four profitable growth companies.

In 1993, Jeff co-founded TriTeal Corporation, an enterprise desktop software, security, and infrastructure company that he took public in 1996. From 1988 to 1993, he was a National Business Development Manager for Sun Microsystems. Prior to that, Jeff held various business development and management positions with Digital Equipment Corporation and 3M Company.

He holds a B.S. Degree from California Polytechnic State University and has participated in executive management programs at Stanford University and the University of California. In addition to Mirapoint, Jeff serves on the Boards of Mainsaver Software, Assist Cornerstone Technologies and LCA Educational Foundation.

Paul Dumas

Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Dumas is responsible for the company’s accounting, finance, human resources, information technology and legal activities. 

Paul has over 25 years of diversified accounting and corporate finance experience, primarily in the software industry. Most recently, he was Vice President, Finance at SumTotal Systems, a public talent management software company, where he was responsible for accounting, finance and order management.

He has held executive positions at Openwave Systems and Remedy Corp. His work career also includes 8 years at Hewlett-Packard where he supported WW Customer Support Operations and HP Labs.  He started his career in public accounting with Main Hurdman (KPMG).

Mr. Dumas is a California Certified Public Accountant.  He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.  Paul lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife and 2 daughters. 

Frank Knifsend

Senior Vice President of Products, Marketing, and Operations

Mr. Knifsend is responsible for the successful execution of the company's strategy, and directs the marketing, North American sales, customer service and operations organizations.

Frank joined Mirapoint from Oracle, where he was responsible for the product strategy of the company's integrated middleware platform. His focus was establishing Oracle's leadership in middleware and SOA, and the combined applications+technology strategy resulting from its highly visible acquisitions.

Frank has over 20 years in the enterprise IT industry, and has held executive positions at start-up and established companies including TIBCO, Slam Dunk Networks, Sagent Technology, and Forte Software.

He began his career at Accenture. As a manager in the high technology practice, he was the architect for a number of large-scale, distributed systems projects at Sun Microsystems, Apple, and Autodesk.

Frank has B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, and a M.B.A. from University of California, Los Angeles.

Yoshi Yusa

President, Mirapoint Japan KK

Mr. Yusa has more than 32 years of experience in the information technology sector, providing sales, marketing and operational experience to both established and start-up companies.

He has participated in the complete range of company development — from creating the business plan to developing and implementing operational models for established enterprise IT companies.

Prior to Mirapoint Software, Yoshi worked for companies such as EMC Japan as Senior Managing Director of Sales, HP Japan as Managing Director of Partner Group as well as Sun Microsystems Japan for 10 years in the role of Managing Director of OEM and Global Business Development. In addition, he has been a President and Representative Director at Windriver Systems and Ntru cryptsystems.

Yoshi earned a BC in Mechanical Engineering from Nihon University and a one-year scholarship (Engineering) at MIT(US).
